The Annual Enrollment Period (AEP) is each year from October 15 to December 7, when you can enroll in Original Medicare, a Medicare Advantage Plan, a stand-alone Part D plan or switch plans.

At this time, you can enroll in or leave a Medicare Advantage plan, you can switch Medicare Advantage companies or plans and add a Part D plan.

If you wish to change your Medicare Advantage plan, you must do it during this period unless you have a Special Enrollment Period (SEP).

Any new coverage you get during this time will start on January 1.
